In 1947, shortly after proudly serving the United States in World War II, Albert Thornton with his wife, Lorine, opened a hardware and appliance store in Henning, TN. Growing up during the Great Depression and living through the Second World War, they knew the value of hard work and customer service. A few years later the family business moved to Ripley, TN where it evolved as the sporting goods, firearms, furniture and appliance retailer still proudly serving our community today!

At Thornton's Furniture we offer easy financing. We proudly offer the most comprehensive show floor in the area. We carry the most extensive collection of furniture, appliances, and bedding found anywhere in Lauderdale County. We offer professional delivery and installation of most items, and we will even haul off your used furniture when we deliver your new home furnishings!
